Frequently Asked Questions

1. What is the Aquascape EcoWave 3000 Pond Pump?

The Aquascape EcoWave 3000 Pond Pump is an energy-efficient, submersible water pump designed for ponds, waterfalls, and other water features. It uses smart magnetic-drive motor technology and a vortex-style impeller to deliver reliable water circulation while minimizing electricity consumption.

2. What is the maximum flow rate of the Aquascape EcoWave 3000?

The Aquascape EcoWave 3000 Pond Pump has a maximum flow rate of 2,960 gallons per hour (GPH), equivalent to approximately 11,200 liters per hour. Actual water flow depends on pumping height, pipe diameter, plumbing resistance, and the overall installation.

3. How much water does the EcoWave 3000 pump at different heights?

According to the manufacturer's flow chart, the EcoWave 3000 delivers approximately 2,960 GPH at 0 feet of head, 2,150 GPH at 2.5 feet, 1,470 GPH at 5 feet, 1,100 GPH at 7.5 feet, and 850 GPH at 10 feet. These figures help estimate the flow available for your pond or waterfall setup.

4. What is the maximum head height of the Aquascape EcoWave 3000?

The Aquascape EcoWave 3000 has a maximum head height of 17.5 feet. Head height refers to the vertical distance water must be lifted by the pump. As the pumping height increases, the flow rate decreases, so consider your installation's total head height when selecting a pond pump.

5. Is the EcoWave 3000 suitable for waterfalls and pond circulation?

Yes, the EcoWave 3000 Pond Pump is designed for pond skimmers, Pondless Waterfall Vaults, and large fountain basins. It is especially suitable for water features that require strong water flow at relatively low head heights.
